Angler, as a company, is unusual, perhaps unique, in that it has operated under the same leadership for over thirty years. In the beginning, two men, Elio Grillo and partner, Cooper Camp, were working in a boat factory, as the plant manager and sales manager respectively. Everyday they would arrive at the factory early and leave very late. They work was hard but the men were doing what they loved.

Eventually, these men decided to pool their resources to start building boats, their own way. Cooper Camp had the connections and knew how to sell the product. Elio Grillo knew the suppliers and the workers who could build boats. The working conditions in the beginning were humble, a loaned building on the Miami River. They labored long and hard just as they had in the factory. This however was a labor of love, designing, constructing and producing what were to be the very first ANGLER boats. ANGLER was founded during the oil crisis. Petroleum products such as fiberglass resin, were difficult to obtain, but Grillo's supplier connections came through for the fledgling company. Even before their product was completed, five South Florida boat dealers requested delivery of the first ANGLERS. Thus the ANGLER BOAT CORPORATION was born.

Since that day, ANGLER has gone through many changes. One of the original founders, Cooper Camp has since retired. The designs of new hulls, decks, and other essential boat parts are created with powerful computer software. ANGLER BOATS, once built in a small building, are now built to exacting specifications in a new state-of the-arts 103,000 square foot manufacturing facility. With models ranging in length from 17 to 31 feet, ANGLER has a boat for every boat enthusiast.

While many changes have taken place at ANGLER, there are some things that will never change. The company still operates under the same leadership that it has for the past thirty years. The company's financial strength provides ANGLER owners with an unrivaled confidence in their investment. It's what makes ANGLER one of the leading manufacturers of quality, ruggedly built boats on the water.

Every Angler hull that rolls off our assembly line carries the promise that Angler strives to build the safest, strongest, most technologically advanced, longest lasting boat possible. Angler has been producing quality boats for over 30 years, under the same ownership, which brings a great deal of substance to the Angler warranty.

Angler, always on the cutting edge of technology, utilizes the latest advances in the industry to provide its customers with a product that will bring years of safe boating pleasure. The process of manufacturing an Angler hull starts a t the computer where specifications are fed into a boat designing CAD computer program. This program provides engineers with an infinite number of options for deck layouts and hull specifications.

From there the plug and mold for a new Angler are manufactured to the computers specs.

Then, the latest HF+ (high flex plus) gelcoat is applied t o the completed mold. This gelcoat provides a finish that will be free from the stress cracks that can appear as a fiberglass boat ages.

Fiberglass laminate is then hand laid into the mold. This is where an Angler becomes the strong boat that the company is known for. Several layers of fiberglass, more than i s required, goes into building the hull. You may never see it, but when you find yourself in a situation, requiring a boat of substance and strength, you'll be glad it's there. Every Angler is 100% Hand Laid and 100% Woodfree.

Angler adds more foam than is required to their hulls in several key areas to ensure the safety of its occupants. With every Angler, safety is always a high priority. Perhaps this is why more and more commercial and governmental agencies are incorporating Anglers as their vessel of choice to perform duties, day in and day out.
